Vision Statement
The Children’s Ministry Prorgram at Grace United Methodist Church is a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for all of God’s children, infants through fifth grade. Children will grow and deepen their spiritual walk with God, Christ and the Holy Spirit through Christian Education, small groups and fellowship activities.
Mission Statement
The Children’s Ministry program at Grace United Methodist Church will foster a warm environment through:
- Developmentally appropriate materials and classrooms
- Friendly teachers and staff, ready and willing to meet the needs of their students
- Clean and safe classroom spaces
Will foster an environment for Christian Education through:
- Age appropriate Sunday School classes
- Kids in Grace Weeknight Bible Study
- Vacation Bible School
- Multi sensory opportunities for children to experience God
Create mission-minded individuals through:
- Local mission opportunities (Cove Food Bank, Thanksgiving Food Drive, selected Vacation Bible School Local Mission Project, Christmas Caroling at local Rehab & Nursing Centers)
- National mission opportunities (UMCOR collections, supporting mission teams)
- International mission opportunities (Heifer Project, The Congo, Africa Mission)
Recognize that fun and fellowship create healthy children and we will offer opportunities through:
- Picnics
- Festivals
- Holiday Programs
- Family Game Nights
