Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is made up of adults of all ages who like to sing.  They rehearse at 7:00 PM on Wednesday evenings in the sanctuary.  They assist with worship leadership by providing music for the10:30 AM worship service, seasonal and other special services throughout the year.  Soloists and ensembles also come from this group.  Our choir always welcomes new members and is growing steadily. Their music is a beautiful blessing in our worship services.

Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me:

At His tabernacle I will sacrifice with shouts of joy;

Children’s Choir

Children and youth from 4th to 7th grade are welcome to sing in the Children’s Choir.  Time to be announced. The director is Chad Johnson.

New Beginnings Choir

This small choral group rehearses briefly before the start of the 8:05 AM Sunday worship service then sings at that service.  New members are always welcome.

Sanctuary Bell Choir

The Bell Choir is composed of adults who create beautiful music with the three octave hand bells.  They rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the Bible Explorers classroom and provide special music during various times of the year. Members are limited, but anyone is welcome to learn to play the hand bells and become a sub.  Members do not have to be expert musicians, but some music reading ability is necessary.

Praisin’ Grace

The praise and worship team leads our Praise Worship Services, using contemporary Christian music.  This group includes adult and youth vocalists and instrumental musicians.  They  rehearse on Sunday evenings at 6:45 p.m. and lead our Praise Service every Sunday at 9:15 a.m.  This group and the services they lead are  a wonderful contemporary addition to our worship experience at Grace United  Methodist Church.  There are no open positions on this team at the present, but auditions will be held as positions become available.  For more information, please contact Stephen or Will Boyd at the church office.
